Bristol Recovery
Road for Women, Inc. is a faith
based recovery program for women established to provide
a safe and healthy facility for women referred to the
program from the judicial system. At BRRW, Inc. women
learn how to care for themselves, live independent from
their addictions, learn job skills, and how to be productive,
contributing members of our community.
With the support of BRRW, Inc. clients change the course
of their lives from being dependent on their addiction
to living a productive, self sufficient life free from
their previous environment and life style. At BRRW.
Inc. the program strives to break the cycle that captures
the clients.
The nine month intensive study program along with a
three month after care program provides a structured
method of instruction for basic life skills based on
biblical principles. The Bristol based organization
was founded with the goal of establishing a facility
where our judicial system can refer those they deem
eligible for recovery. The organization will serve clients
from the tri cities area in Tennessee and Virginia.
The curriculum is still being developed, but is based
on existing successful studies used by similar programs
in other locations. Before the clients are released
into the care of BRRW, Inc. they undergo an interview
process and must complete a preliminary study program
which will help them to understand the program and will
help the staff of BRRW, Inc. know if the prospective
client is well suited for the program.
As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, BRRW, Inc. is
dependent on donations from the community to provide
furniture, food, clothing, and teaching materials for
the clients. Currently the organization is searching
for a home where they can care for their clients. Once
the locations is established, a search for staff and
volunteers will be held by the 5 member board of directors.
